Meet Our Midwives

Every person on our team found their way to this work because they couldn't imagine doing anything else. We're proud of this team and honored to introduce them to you.

We are Certified Professional Midwives

  • NARM sets standards for competency-based credentialing through documentation of comprehensive training and testing of knowledge and skills relevant to real-life job conditions, as determined by psychometric research within the profession. The credential has been evaluated by independent researchers at Ohio State University and was determined to exemplify the established standards for educational testing as determined by the American Educational Research Association and the National Council of Measurement in Education. In 2002, the CPM credential was accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA) and is evaluated yearly for adherence to national standards. Competency-based certification allows a midwife to support a woman's right to choose her birth attendants and place of birth, and to involve those she identifies as her family in the birth experience. CPMs practice as autonomous health professionals working within a network of relationships with other maternity care professionals who can provide consultation and collaboration when needed.

Our credential is also recognized and supported by Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), the International Confederation of Midwives, the Midwives Alliance of North America (MANA), and the Midwifery Education Accreditation Council (MEAC).

The Founders

Seasons Warner

CPM, LDEM | Co-Founder

Seasons has been attending births since 1999, when her first home birth changed the course of her life. She trained through the NARM PEP process, apprenticed under several midwives, and started her own practice in 2014. She has since added certifications as a Nutritional Herbalist and NLP and Hypnotherapy practitioner, because she believes deeply in the mind and body's ability to thrive when given the right tools. Seasons is also a wife, mom to five, and a proud grandma.

β€œIf you are searching for compassionate care, supportive birth team and genuine love and kindness you will find it at Utah birth suites. Seasons Warner was the exact midwife I needed during my pregnancies and births. I am forever grateful for her education, support of my choices and genuine love of midwifery. Everyone deserves the birth experience that they feel most comfortable with. I am so happy I got mine with Seasons through Utah birth suites.”

Melissa Chappell

CPM, LDEM | Co-Founder

Melissa has spent 25 years in the world of childbirth, beginning as an internationally certified doula and doula trainer, teaching the number one referred childbirth class in the area, and regularly traveling to developing countries to support local midwives and birthing women. She officially began her midwifery practice in 2015 and earned her CPM and LDEM credentials in 2018. Her favorite part of all of it, she'll tell you, is the people.

β€œI had Melissa as my midwife, and all I can say is the whole time I was in her care I felt exactly that - cared for! Any question I had she was always so helpful answering it, and I loved that I loved being able to be so informed about everything, also to have all that support physically and emotionally is something every mom to be should have. She always kept me calm, and made sure to remind me I could do it! I also loved that my husband was able to be so involved that was seriously the most beautiful experience ever. He will always proudly tell everyone he was able to catch his baby!”

Our Midwives

Jessica Collins

LDEM

Jessy has known she wanted to be a midwife since before high school. She spent years volunteering as a doula, apprenticing with midwives, and studying β€” graduating Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Midwifery. She has additional training in spinning babies, hypnobirthing, and bodywork, and is currently working toward her lactation consultant certification. She loves the relationships she builds with every family she serves.

I had an incredible experience with Jessy as my midwife, and my husband and I learned so much from her and felt very taken care of. She is incredibly knowledgeable and I felt confident in her ability to guide me in getting my baby out safely. I also felt like I was respected as a future mother and given all the information I could ask for in a very unbiased way. When I gave birth to my son I felt so much love and care from Jessy and the other midwives in training. They knew the sacredness of this event and guided me through it all, and I never once felt like a patient. Birth is so hard but in a place like this it can also be peaceful and so empowering. Highly recommend!

Michelle Sherwin

LDEM

Michelle came to birth work first as a doula and then felt called to become a midwife. A mother of six who birthed four of her babies at home, she knows firsthand what it means to feel held and cared for by a midwife you trust. She believes every birth is a miracle and loves supporting mothers as they step into that experience. A recent client said it best: "You helped me feel trust for myself, while also providing a feeling of safety and being seen."

My midwife was Michelle and she was truly amazing and a huge blessing. She was so attentive to both me and my baby all throughout my prenatal visits, birth and postpartum. She didn’t miss any details and was confident, intuitive and gentle with her care. Our visits never felt rushed, and things were always explained to me unbiasedly. I actually learned so much about pregnancy and birth due to her knowledge- Completely different from my experiences working with an OBGYN where nothing was ever explained.

My home birth was the most sacred event that I will forever cherish. Michelle and the other attending midwives brought the most peaceful presence. I had a minor complication and they handled it so perfectly and helped me to avoid unnecessary transfer.

Nicole Moemai

CPM, LDEM

Nicole trained in a high-volume birth center where she attended hundreds of births and cared for a wide range of families. She is grounded in physiologic birth and attentive clinical care, and she is committed to helping families make informed, evidence-based decisions while honoring their autonomy every step of the way. A mother of eight, Nicole brings both professional skill and personal understanding to every family she serves.

β€œNicole took me on as a client late in my 5th pregnancy. She attended my birth at home. Immediately upon meeting her, it was easy to connect. Nicole genuinely respected my autonomy, while offering very sound perspectives. As a midwife she is attentive and engaged. Her presence in the birth space is fluid and comforting. Nicole trusted me above everything else but would have stepped in confidently if needed. Having a midwife who affirmed my strength and competence is in my opinion one of the most important qualities to hold as a midwife. I highly recommend working with Nicole.”

Ivey Routt

DEM

Ivey attended her first birth at age three and has been drawn to this work ever since. She grew up attending doula trainings in her home, attended her first official birth as a doula at sixteen, and has been showing up for women ever since. She has nearly completed all phases of her apprenticeship and is now taking clients. She is also a mama of two and a lover of cold plunges, baking, and plants.

β€œIvey was my midwife for the birth of my first child and Is now my midwife for my son that will be here in 9 weeks! My first pregnancy into birth process was always so relaxed. She has a way of making you feel right at home from start to finish. She always listened to my needs, helped any anxieties I was having as a first time mom, and made sure I always had everything and every bit of information that I needed. My birth was beautiful, she never pushed me on anything, did what I asked, but also made sure I was okay and getting what I needed. My delivery was smooth, adorable and had the sweetest romance to it, honestly. There were candles lit, i played my own music, I had a postpartum bath where she added flowers and let my husband and I enjoy our newborn for as long as we wanted. We never felt rushed!

Working with her has always been incredibly pleasant, fun, straight forward and easy! She has become a close friend of mine throughout this process. As I’m closing this second pregnancy and getting ready for birth, I have zero anxieties or worries because I know I am in good hands. I’m very much looking forward to going through the delivery experience with her again. It’s pure magic!”

Isabelle Montgomery

CPM, DEM

Isabelle's path to midwifery began as a doula, where witnessing birth lit something in her she couldn't ignore. She brings calm, grounded energy into the birth space along with clinical knowledge, spiritual support, and deep respect for each woman's inner wisdom. She will never rush you, talk over you, or make decisions for you. Outside of birth work she loves snowboarding, camping, dancing, and her chickens.

β€œI genuinely don’t know how I would’ve gotten through my last pregnancy, birth, and postpartum without Isabelle and the entire team at the birth center. From my very first appointment, I felt so cared for, listened to, and supported in a way I never expected. She never made me feel like β€œjust another client” β€” she truly cared about me and my baby every step of the way.”

Our Student Midwives

These women are currently in progress of completing their DEM through the Aspire Birth Academy. They may attend births with our Senior midwives. We love them!

Heather Baker

Student Midwife

Heather has spent years in the birth world as a placenta encapsulator, doula, and midwife assistant. Her passion for this work started young β€” sparked by attending appointments with her aunt, who was also a midwife. She is currently pursuing her midwifery certification through the NARM PEP route and is certified in CPR and NRP. She is a mother of six and brings calm, skilled, deeply loving care to every birth she attends.

Heather is the very best! With the birth of my first baby, she played such an important role in making me feel safe, comfortable and capable. I can’t imagine having to go through labor without her! As I prepare to give birth to my second baby, I am so glad I will have her there with me to guide me through that experience again!

Marian Isaacson

Student Midwife

Marian found her way to midwifery through her own pregnancy in 2020, and has been working in birth ever since. She spent two years as a doula before training as a birth assistant, earning her NRP certification, and beginning the NARM PEP process. She is currently working as a primary midwife under supervision and believes every pregnancy and birth deserves a provider who will love and care for the whole family.

β€œMarian is the best midwife! She makes sure you feel supported every step of the way and is so caring of you and what you want. I absolutely loved having her at my birth and plan on having her be my midwife for all future pregnancies! β€œ

-Aubrey I.

Camille Jorgenson

Student Midwife, IBCLC

Camille became a lactation consultant in 2023 after navigating her own breastfeeding challenges, and her path to midwifery deepened after birthing her second and third babies at Utah Birth Suites. She experienced firsthand how honoring the hormones of labor and protecting those first sacred hours can shape a mother's confidence and breastfeeding journey. She began the NARM PEP process in 2025 and is working toward her CPM credential in 2027.

β€œCamille is an incredible support to have during your birth experience. I would love to have her to lean on during any of my future births and couldn’t imagine my birth without her. She is a major source of strength, knowledge, and comfort.”
